I'm an RSE working on the Super Computing Wales project at Aberystwyth. Currently i'm the only RSE in the university and help people across the university with HPC related issues.

I also do lots of semi-RSE things like being a sys-admin for our internal cluster, running Software Carpentry workshops, Hacky Hour help sessions and generally doing anything research computing related.

My PhD was in autonomous sailing robots intended for oceanographic research. I still have a small involvement with this community, where I run the Microtransat Challenge a transatlantic sailing robot race and I mentor the Abersailbot student robotic sailing team.
